Creating ringtones for your Apple Iphone 3G

1. Open ITunes
2. Select a song/track that you want to make into a ring tone.
3. Listen to the song and select the part of it which you want
to use. The chorus may be a good place to start.
4. Write down the start and stop times of the clip (40 secs. is
the maximum length recommended per ring tone).
5. Right-click the song and select "Get Info."
6. Click the "Options" tab.
7. Enter the start and end time for your desired ring tone and click "OK"
8. Right-click your song again and select "Create AAC Version".
Wait for ITunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version.
9. Right-click the ring tone and select "Delete."
10. Find the file. It's usually in your User folder under "My Documents\My Music
\ITunes\ITunes Media\Music >" and under the artists name. It will have an
extension of m4a.
11. Replace the m4a extension of your ring tone with m4r.

12. Double-click the ring tone file. ITunes will automatically add it
to your ring tones folder in your ITunes Music Library.
13. Connect your IPhone and sync your ring tones.
